Dundee is a beautiful city ,set on the river Tay it looks stunning no matter which direction you come from, you can drive from the city centre of Dundee and be in countryside within ten minutes ,there are many many public spaces to enjoy especially parks most of which were donated to the people of Dundee by the wealthy businessmen who built their fortunes on the production of Jute many years ago.
Dundee has two superb universities and a great college and Ninewells hospital although getting a bit grey around the edges is still a successful teaching hospital.
The new Victoria and Albert museum is special and the people in Dundee are upbeat and generally lighthearted so it’s a great place to visit and have some fun.
Dundee City council does a magnificent job in difficult circumstances having such a confined area that encompasses several areas in need of regeneration but good progress is being made so hats off to them.
I was born in Dundee and lived away a long time but I’m back living in Dundee and love it, I can confirm that it is a wonderful place to live ,this award is well deserved and an honest reflection of the rising prominence of this lovely city.
