The Tories have always made much of their pragmatism as opposed to ideological inflexibility to get the job done. Ruth Davidson has now taking this to a new level. You’d think they weren’t in the same party and that Theresa was not her boss. You couldn’t make this up.
So, despite going on about standing toe-to-toe with Nicola, she talks as if they are standing side-by-side on the same progressive policies to protect Scotland’s elderly and poor. We, Ruth says, will protect you by making sure free prescriptions, winter fuel allowances and free TV licences are kept in Scotland as they’re stripped away ruthlessly (Like what I did there?) by her boss in London.
Here’s what she said as tweeted by Martin MacDonald:
Nauseating attempt to appear independent of London, knowing she won’t have to deliver and she can attack the SNP for not making up the shortfall in the block grant that will result. It’s a sobering thought that our very own British government is our enemy, actively and irresponsibly promoting the failure of good governance in Scotland. Davidson is high on her own publicity, lightweight and devoid of dignity. Her bubble will burst in due course.

Exactly right John … Gaining a few Scottish MP’s doesn’t put Ruthless into a position of power in charge of budgets where she would have any say on funding the things she pretends she would protect and maintain.

Thanks. If she says this in Holyrood, the SNP will be on the floor holding their sides and wetting themselves.

no, its not really. its not even close. a better one would be, fox cub tells chicken to protect other chickens from mamma fox, but then fox cub assists mama fox to attack chickens and feast on their flesh
