Scottish Tories fall to FIFTH and no Jo Swinson surge

From YouGov today with 147 Scots and fieldwork on 23rd and 24th July:

  • Con      10%
  • Lab      11%
  • LibD     18%
  • SNP      42%
  • Brexit  13%
  • Green  5%

They didn’t even ask if Jo Swinson would make the best Prime Minister, but the Lib Dems did least well in Scotland with support in England ranging from 20% to 26%

We need a wee bit of extra effort in the new SoS’s and Joe Swinson’s seat to decapitate two heads of this hydra.

Swinson may decamp to a safe English seat before Boris’s inevitable GE

I hope above hope that Nicola has a cunning plan.

You can be sure there is a plan; cunning though is another matter.

It is clear that Ms Swinson is going to make ‘defence of the union’ one of her main planks, judging by her resurrection of the LIE about violence and nastiness during the 2014 referendum, with the tacit implication that it ALL came from the supporters of independence. She is also going for the ‘one-nation Tory’ vote, and, judging by her slavish support for the Cameron/Clegg government, she is only doing what she really believes in.She is a pro-austerity conservative.

The expression on Ruth Davidson’s face in that photograph says it all – it was all going so well where did it all go wrong?

    Perfect for a caption competition
