Only a local poll but still worth cheering yourself up with. Tories 4th on only 11% and behind even ailing Labour. Further cheer can be found in its close proximity to Ruth Davidson’s Edinburgh Central.

Searched all over BBC for this result no joy,maybe its because they are to busy trying to figure out who to choose to replace the Burd.

Yes – there was also precious little msm coverage of the recent good result in Sauchie (2 weeks ago) with the excellent SNP candidate getting 41% of the 1st prefs and comfortably retaining the seat which (by the previous full council result (S)lab should have been hoping to waltz in and grab at a by-election). 2 good results in a couple of weeks – indicates Indy vote remaining firm/growing.
Also good to see further dissent in the britnat ranks – this time a Tory cooncillor in D+G resigning and sitting as an Independent – Link and snippet below:

A Stewartry councillor has quit the Conservative group after accusing them of “failing to make an impact”.
Castle Douglas and Crocketford member David James resigned from the group, claiming they have avoided making policies.
Although not part of the administration, the Tory group is the largest on the council.
“… surely a party exists to formulate good policies and to try to bring them to fruition through weight of argument or negotiation. Influenced by Edinburgh, the Conservative group has chosen to avoid forming and putting forward policies… This is not a strategy I support, therefore I have resigned from the Conservative group in Dumfries and Galloway Council.”

Sat a breakfast with the results of the Leith election to hand wondering how or when the bbc would announce the results. Amazed they didn’t, despite broadcasting a report from Leith, interviewing Leith voters to find out if they were sick of elections. The Leith election was mentioned but not the results. I call that as having a brass neck, among other things.
