I know, I had to claim for a bigger printer to make my last claim!
Last week, Tavish Scott, MSP with special responsibility for expenses claims, asked:
The English system for student teacher recruitment or ITT, doesn’t seem such a good model:

Can’t wait for Swinney’s comments.
It defies description that this sort of question are asked repeatedly by opposition MSPs. The obvious fact that the English education system is in a start of crisis that is way beyond any problems in the Scottish system would surely make them realise that asking this sort of question just makes them appear stupid.

I do not think we should be complacent about the situation in Scotland with regards to the literacy and numeracy skills of young teachers and, as a consequence, their ability to teach these skills.
In evidence to a Holyrood committee a couple of years ago a group of young teachers raised those very issues. They did not feel they had the necessary skills to teach those subjects not did they feel their training and support during training was adequate.
Here are a couple of links to articles on that topic:

Young graduates going into teaching are the product of a system that is not doing well in terms of literacy and numeracy and that has been the case for decades. Therefore it cannot be a surprise if the system continues to deteriorate when the people produced by the system go back into teaching in that system.

Oh well I suppose it gives these clowns something to do , make a noise in case you become irrelevant oops , they already are irrelevant with how many MPs & MSPs will one hand do or do we stretch to both ? oh can’t be bothered finding out.
I just wonder what support the teachers are going to receive after knocking back what’s been referred to as the best offer for public servants in the whole of the UK , given the Scottish Government has allocated every penny of the pocket money received from Westminster I wonder where the money comes from , who do they take it from ? ,
its about time the government let the public know what exactly is going on and point out this Labour Party and their antics starting with their collaboration with the Tory party in many councils , and their agitation in cooperation with most of the unions, this is not to improve conditions it’s all about making mischief , they are unable to be elected so it’s guerrilla warfare that’s all they have to offer bloody Chaos well done eh .
