It’s even worse than the reporting suggests and a dramatic 11% worse than in Scotland. As before, the reporting uses the NHS England figure for ‘all’ A&E departments when only the Type 1 departments are meaningfully comparable with those in Scotland, N Ireland and Wales and the latter two are even worse than those in England!

The average for NHS Scotland in January 2019 was 87.2% seen within 4 hours.
The figure for A&E in England is 76.1% seen within 4 hours and not 84.4%. See this:

The figure for all A&E departments is distorted by those for the walk-in-centres and minor injury units.

We need something far simpler than is being cooked up at the moment, I’m sure one side of A4 in large type would do it. And surely they need to drop nonsense like ‘Edinburgh will be our capital’ – people proclaiming to want a fairer and more equal society want an anglofied de-centralised place to do the job? Pah. We should have a roving capital, everywhere gets a twenty year shot at it until we get bored.
Something like:
1. Anyone ever considering selling out Scotland ever again for whatever reason will be jailed for life.
2. We can do whatever we want, as long as we don’t cause harm to our own fellow citizens.
3. Personal creativity will be rewarded.
Would do me, I think that covers it.
The BBC are really going hell for leather with their anti-SNHS stuff. I mean, more so than ever, and very unfairly so. The suspicion is, of course, that they are trying to condition us into thinking private healthcare is good (as well as all the other propaganda reasons), but they can’t even get that done in England, so why they’d think it would work here is bewildering.
