Regarding NHS England, in the Independent yesterday:
‘Patients could again face blanket cancellations this winter as ministers refused to rule out emergency measures to address winter pressures in the underfunded NHS, MPs have warned. The Department of Health and Social Care gave no guarantees on the mass cancellation of non-urgent operations, such as hip surgery and cataracts, which occurred for the first time last year, a report by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) said.’
Regarding NHS Scotland, the TuS Research Team (TRUST) have devoted many hours to multifactorial analysis using one of those algorithm thingies but can find no sign of the Scottish NoMedia having the nerve to explicitly predict mass operation cancellations in Scotland this winter. Are they being advised by Jeremy ‘Chicken’ Corbyn?
So far, the evidence is not there with only 1.7% of operations in October cancelled due to lack of capacity.

For the past few days, virtually every single story on the BBC Scotland pages has been ‘BAAAAAAD’. Over on the sports pages virtually everything is about the sacking of the Manchester United manager – who gives a monkey’s about a very wealthy man, receiving a substantial pay off from an international company? It is all to divert attention from the avalanche of excrement that has begun to shift at Westminster.

The scenes prior to and following the wholly understandable mouthing, ‘stupid people’, by Mr Corbyn yesterday were amongst the worst I have ever witnessed in Westminster – and there have been some pretty bad ones. The Prime Minister’s shrieking attempts at pantomime were nasty and unfunny. Then we had the hypocritical outrage about what Mr Corbyn is alleged to have mouthed. I suspect that huge numbers of viewers of the pantomime PM were mouthing much worse. It was, indeed, an avalanche of excrement and it continued to pour out via the media.
However, even the Herod felt moved to put a condemnation on its front page, but, as with that paper, it took the chance to damn the FM by association. The headline comprised three critical words with photographs of the PM, Mr Corbyn and the FM and, surprise! surprise! the nastiest word was above Ms Sturgeon.
There is a stench of decay about the British establishment just now.
