Thanks to all of you who have visited this site. Based on 59 000 visits in the last 30 days we are in 5th place of the top nine most popular ‘alternative’ Scottish news websites. I’m happy just to know that I’m not wasting my time. I’m especially pleased to see that there were not enough data to estimate the number of visits for Unionist websites Scotland In Union or These Islands. From the Indyref2 site which did the survey:

Talking-up Scotland 
Onward and upwards John but could you decide which name you have please . I like Talking up Scotland , as that is what you do , but maybe people are now using the Thought Control Scotland name more to get on to your site , do you know ? .

I’d like to decide on Talking-up but I’d need to start all over again losing links to more than 1000 earlier posts if I want to change the url – thoughtcontrolscotland.com.
And, I still stand by the notion of thought control in democracies alongside my inspiration Noam Chomsky.

Yes , understand your dilemma , thought it might make things easier for new visitors if they knew one name of site without perhaps being confused with two . Thinking of it from a marketing point of view .

John, I am not sure how these stats are collected but I seldom actually visit your website. I get your full articles via email meaning that there is no need for me to go there. I think that perhaps if you emailed your articles as a heading with a link to the website (as WoS does) then you would increase your website visits. Perhaps your potential visits are higher?

I don’t use WordPress so I am not familiar with it but I would imagine there is an email setting that gives you the option. I get other emails from WP sites with a heading or synopsis and a link.

Excellent news, John. Your site is easily one of the best as it operates without spin, gives factual content and is supremely trustworthy.
Keep it up and your audience will grow. The BEEB in Scotland goes ever downhill with its dubious remit of bias, omission and gloom, while we happy *thoughtcontrollers* seeking liberation, know that only the truth will set you free!

Glad I follow this site as I rarely seem to get notification of your disgracefully insurgent, rebellious views on Facepest anymore.
Great to see that our alternative media is thriving and, looking at the list, that visitor volume follow the quality end of reportage and analysis, although I’m not decrying the ability or intent of others lower in the rankings. One of the aspects of your work which I value is the consistent linking to the original source material, which affirms the intentional integrity of the work. I also like the overwhelming positivity produced. There are plenty of good news stories out there being ignored, which you rightly bring to our attention as well as debunking the constant spurious spin and reporting that comes from alleged professional journalists.

John, I wish you well. Your popular site is vital to the independence movement. I have followed you since your earliest expose of BBC bias during the Independence Referendum. On many occasions I have referred to your site for clarification/truth following an MSM-led SNPbad claim, then used your information to put the record straight with family, friends, golfing associates etc. You are invaluable for debunking unionist propaganda, well done and keep up the good work.

Don’t ever think your wasting your efforts here John, your stuff is gold dust, high quality and one of the few non indyref/yes branded sources of debunk information available to counter and inform arguments with. Remembering seeing you standing on a box at one of the BBC bias demos in 2014, I said to myself, there’s someone who’s got fire in his belly – a brave and smart man u are 🙂
