On Monday 5th August, Alex Cole-Hamilton (Edinburgh Western) (Scottish Liberal Democrats) asked the Scottish Government what it is doing to promote access to medical courses to Scottish-domiciled young people.

In July the SNP Government announced that Scottish universities are to recruit more medical students from Scotland at the expense of those from elsewhere in the UK. This will see the number of medical students who live north of the border go up by 100 and the number accepted from England, Wales and Northern Ireland will go down by 100.
The Scottish Conservatives reacted with fury saying it was “yet more evidence of the deeply damaging discrimination inherent within SNP higher education policy.”

The joint Tory/LibDem strategy group is expected to meet for an acrimonious squabble.
Readers are asked to remind us what the other discrimination is. Fees? Anything else? Having to eat square sausage?
Maggie Thatcher famously said “Everybody needs a Willie”.
As every “good girl” knows, they DONT want a Wee Wullie.
And Ruthie is finding an “accommodation” with a Big blond Wally ( position 35 in the grovel book).

Since lord Ashcrofts poll results were released you can almost feel the Panic , The SNP don’t have to do anything , well maybe start some rumours and maybe a bit of mischief about recalling the Scottish Parliament etc to keep the headless chickens running about .
This time most people in Scotland are wise to the tactics and won’t be fooled again because all the previous ammunition has been used ,Oh Dear .

Has BBCScotland ever mentioned the Ashcroft poll?
We had the fantasy report of Mr Richard Leonard ‘slapping down’ Mr John McDonnell for the crime of supporting democracy, in which Mr Leonard said ‘there is no demand for a second referendum in Scotland’. But, from the interviewer, there was no ‘Au contraire …..’ On Channel 4 News when Mr Iain Murray repeated Scottish Labour’s ‘principled’ position, the poll data was mentioned, as any interviewer worth her salt would do.

The tories are unhappy that Labour will support a Scottish independence referendum if the SNP will vote with Labour to bring down Boris Johnston.
I can’t see the SNP being interested in voting with Labour in Westminster to bring down Boris Johnston because Labour would still join the Tories and Lib Dem’s as bettertogether to thwart Scottish independence.
All three party’s tories labour Lib Dem’s as we have seen year after year after year will tell lies and double cross whoever whenever to get power.
The SNP know this and will play along until the time is right

The problem is that this is all part of the ‘Unionist Tag Team’ plan.
One part of the team will criticise the Scottish Government for following a policy, the other will criticise for not following it.
Doesn’t matter whether the policy is good or bad, this is their standard template and works better for them than if they had to do it as a single party.
It’s very cynical.
