After my post this morning:
I made this complaint, alleging bias by omission:
In the report on obesity, at 09:00, we heard nine, long, compound sentences yet no reference was made to key role played by Scottish Government policy initiatives and resource allocation as stated clearly by the university researchers. In the Independent newspaper report, for example, we were able to read that the researchers offered a clear, confident and simple explanation for the significantly slower growth in obesity in Scotland – Scottish Government policy initiatives and resource allocation. For example: ‘The government put a massive push on developing a route map for how we can actually combat this. They put together resources from the NHS that were proving to be effective. They did put a lot of work into it.’ Why was this omitted?
The GMS report is thus missing a key explanatory component and one which, when omitted, denied the SNP-led government due credit. I remind you of your responsibility to inform your audience.
I’ll post their reply when I get it.
Nine long sentences to cover three main points – 1. What is happening? 2. Where is it happening? 3. Why is it happening? – yet last one missed. Why?

I hope you get a reply John , if your complaint does nothing else it let’s the state broadcaster know once again they are being watched and exposed . Not that it seems to have them the least bit ruffled though .

Come independence we should recognise certain individuals for their efforts in the campaign, perhaps a medal. Yours should be the size of a frying pan, the indefatigable medal. Your blog is more than a valuable reference source, thanks.
I’m sure that the referendum will be swung by the confidence vote, confidence in this wee nation to go forward. To this end the media spew out endless debilitating stories and slants to thwart any possible growth of confidence, in the soft Nos and a dampening off (fungal disease of young plants) in the soft yeses.
More on the beeb, on Friday 25th gms when discussing the not yet released growth report they had Murdo Fraser on the 08:10 slot, followed by political editr Brian Taylor and for balance Alex Neil in the 07:10 slot. Ho hum.

Can I just add my “well done” for taking the time to go through the BBC’s serpentine complaints process on this.
The voices may not be loud enough just yet, but it lets them know that people are more and more willing to speak out.

Thanks. I may tire of it, again.

From experience, I could write their standard reply for you now.

Yes we must all speak out at the misrepresentation of our ‘democratically elected Scottish government ‘. The constant tory/unionist propaganda going on insidiously at the bbc and on other media news reports is shameful!
