Why Scotland’s oil is going to be worth a fortune in the years to come

Right now there’s plenty of cheap oil selling at less than $50 per barrel. However, the demand for that same cheap oil from Asia is growing much faster than we can extract it. Fortunately there is plenty of oil out there but it’s going to cost more and more to find it and to to extract it. There won’t be a shortage of oil just a shortage of cheap oil. The US shale boom won’t last. In a global context it’s small. As for technological advances, they’ll just help you use up the reserves faster.

The recent discoveries west of Shetland put Scotland is a very strong position to take advantage of these high prices when they come and they will according to Oil expert and geological consultant Art Berman today. For more on this see:

Estimates of Scotland’s oil reserves West of Shetland now massively increased to around 8 billion barrels! ‘A super-resource now on the cards.’

Scottish oil in new and much increased demand from Asia ‘like never before!’

We are no reliant on oil John .we can still be independent and survive really well on our other assets. And being independent means we can incourage big business and the Banks to invest in Scotland. Scotland have a hell of a lot to offer. We can ship all our goods through the single market without fully joining the EU. When the unionists say we can’t use the pound that is a load of bollocks for two reasons. The EU The Bank of England And Westminster do not have the power to stop us.using the pound. As theBank of Scotland were printing their own pound long before the Bank of England. And secondly it would not be in the interests of the English people to allow there government to take that attitude. Because it would mean them paying inflated mortgages the GDP would be down to at least 20 per cent. And would not be long till the English economy collapsed. They are borrowing excessively at the present moment. They have in the past few weeks borrowed 51 billion pounds. So they need Scotland but we don’t need them. Would be a better union with SNP in Westminster in control. That way everyone would get the benefit.
