Latest poll predicts SNP up 18 and complete extinction of Tory and Labour MPs in Scotland

Latest Opinium poll for 8th May puts SNP at 52/53 Westminster MPs, up 17/18 with Lib Dems taking the other 3/4. Flavible Politics have mapped it for us (above).

Clearly there are big reservations in applying a general swing based on a small sample but it’s still fun running your mouse over the map to see some names apparently losing badly. The survival of Carmichael is less fun or plausible I’d say.

I’m a bit unsure of this without seeing the data. Let me know if you can get it.

    As much as I’d love to see Mundell out on his superannuated fat behind, I can’t see it. Carmichael too.
    However, they won’t go unless we heave them out, so let’s give them an almighty and well deserved shove.

    Nope Andy,it’s fact.
    I said on Twitter/Facebook/The National over 6 months ago that we would hammer the Red Tories though I have it as down as 53 SNP,1 each for the Tory/Labour and Lib Dems.
    Likewise 60/40 In favour of Independence,do not believe a word that idiot of a Tory Curtice says about the polls,he knows the real score and there’s not a cat’s chance in Hell he will come out and tell it as it is.

      Its already started, with “knocking copy” stories about Cherry, Chris Law and others. No substance but mud sticks.
      There have been serious reviews of conduct at Westminster by Dame Cox, but that is blanked by “Scotland’s” colonial press.

    Mail on Sunday supporting the Green’s

    Unionist’s are using The Green’s as the last hope to reduce the enormous vote coming down the line for the SNP.

    Their parties can’t damage the SNP so all that’s left is splitting the Independence vote!

    Bursting Davidson’s bubble isn’t enough any longer.

    Made no difference the last time.

    And

    Unless the SNP hold the balance of power

    will make no difference the next time.
