Four creepy guys from an earlier post
We know all about this lot and their quick return to the breast of the ‘Mother of Parliaments’, but some keen little burrower sent seven FoI requests to the Scottish Government in the hope of finding the same kind of sex pests there, only to be disappointed to find nothing. Here’s the request with the deliciously short response:
With Ross Thomson no longer ‘current’, will Reporting Scotland find space for the above?
Footnote: In case you’ve understandably forgotten about the Tory Government sex pests, see this:
Strange that Mark McDonald’s inappropriate texting isn’t included.

Was Mr McDonald’s texting within the period covered by the question? I am simply seeking a possible explanation for its omission, since it came to my mind, too. Mr McDonald’s misconduct received wide and prolonged media coverage. His conduct was wrong. However, there is an atmosphere of cynical political exploitation and hypocrisy about these matters.
I encourage people who feel they have been harassed to report their concerns and for these to be investigated according to an agreed procedure, which recognises the right of all parties and keep it free from the cynical and salacious poison of much of the media and some politicians.

It was definitely within the time period, maybe a couple of years ago, I can’t remember exactly when.

I think this is within departments. Maybe not inlcuding MSPs?

I am surprised that whoever submitted the request did not query the information since the Mark McDonald case was on every bulletin for several weeks.

The question was about Scottish Government. Mark McDonald wasn’t in government – he wasn’t a minister. The four Tories were ministers, weren’t they.

The question submitted was fairly specific, it asked about sexual misconduct and harassment, both fairly serious complaints – I doubt various types of inappropriate behaviour would be included in it.
