80% of Scots firms planning for Brexit!

From a Scottish Enterprise Economic Trends Survey, of 1 195 companies, in Insider today, we read:

‘Among the companies planning for life outside the EU, four clear themes have started to emerge the report says. They are talent, trade, costs and regulations.’

Insider’s own headline was:

‘One in five Scots firms ‘not planning for Brexit’

I can see where they’re coming from but I’m not coming from there.

Since this whole Brexit fiasco has unfolded , The BBC in Scotland has endeavoured to downplay the reality of leaving the EU and what that will mean to everyone here , it started with the return of powers from the EU , oh nothing to worry about it’s just trivial stuff , like food labelling and the consistency of paint that’s how Brewer described these powers Westminster is intent in retaining , This BBC in Scotland are a dangerous government organisation they are wilfully misleading the general public and under control from Westminster.

Right now on the BBC website we have a supposed comparison of admission waiting times between Scotland and England , this under the guise of a attack on Jeane Freeman’s comment at the conference that Scotland was ahead in all cases, I believe the Scottish NHS compiles statistics differently and theirs is more stringent than south of the border (i.e.) harder to meet . While the BBC can’t disguise she is correct , the usual BUT is included , I don’t believe any of their fact checking and I believe this guff just confirmed it , good old aunty never let facts get in the way of a SNP bad line of propaganda .

Scottish politics: Scottish Govt introduces important strategy to assist newly qualified nurses and midwives by harnessing the life-long experience of recently retired mentors (from news.dot.gov.scot):

Newly qualified nurses and midwives will receive mentoring from recently retired NHS staff.

A pilot programme, launching next year, will see up to 100 retired nurses and midwives train as Professional Practice Advisers and share their knowledge, skills and experience with new NHS recruits.

These posts will focus on midwifery, health visiting, district nursing and advanced practice.

This supports a £40 million Scottish Government commitment to create an additional 2,600 nurse and midwife posts and increase student intakes by 10.8%

Meanwhile – in the Palace of Westminster (from rt):

Vomit and used condoms in MPs offices: Parliament’s cleaners complain about partying politicians

Cleaners at the Houses of Parliament complain that they have to clear up used condoms and vomit left by unruly MPs and their aides.

MPs are reportedly to face strict new rules about their behaviour. Commons authorities are considering the introduction of a ‘service agreement’ that would cover the appropriate use of workspaces in the Houses of Parliament, the Sunday Times report.
