Independently wealthy C-Celeb Dugdale is London-crowd-funded by struggling Labour party members

Under the headline:

‘Labour bankroll Kezia Dugdale’s defence in Wings Over Scotland defamation case’

the Herald tells us about Kezia Dugdale’s defence against a £25 000 defamation case brought by outspoken, spirited, lively and sweet-toothed, pro-independence blogger, the Reverend Stuart Campbell and that her legal fees will be met out of the London Labour Party (no relation) income of £56 000 000 from massive recent increases in working-class membership – the ‘Corbyn Dividend.’

There’s no hint of recognition, in the Herald, that this may be in any way hypocritical or of moral condemnation other than in the Reverend’s own earlier comments:

‘Not by an open public crowd-funder, where thousands of ordinary people kick in a modest few quid of their own free will, not even out of the money she grabbed by leveraging her modest fame and power to abandon her constituents and go on a celebrity TV show, but by a shady backer who hasn’t been officially identified, isn’t answerable to anyone, and isn’t available to ordinary members of the public.’

I thought crowd-funding to raise legal fees was ‘dragging Scotland into the gutter’, intimidating the victim and make decent people angry? See:

As a person of professorial standing (sometimes?), your village (global) teacher perhaps (???), here, I think it only right that I side with that second pillar in our very stable Scottish community, the minister. Ultimately, I expect to stand with the Reverend, the bank manager Fred Goodwin Junior, and village constable, PC Ayerite, when they leave the local boozer, in condemning the hypocrisy of Scottish Labour.

      Irony? They have never heard of it! Hypocrisy is what the rest of us do, anything the paragons do is by definition correct. The funding of Ms Dugdale is similar to the LibDem controlled committee of the Rowntree Trust (or Foundation – although they share the Rowntree name, this one is not the philanthropic body) deciding to fund the admitted liar Mr Alistair Carmichael’s defence against the Orkney Four, who were, of course, crowd-funded.

      It is a damned impertinence by the hoi polloi to think that they can use the law to challenge the establishment!!

    I’m with you John . Labour and Dugdale , why is it not splashed over all the front pages on the BBC and MSM about how they are useing membership fees to pay for Dugdale’s court case . Again shows you the hypocrisy of our press and the temerity of Labour ! .

    D’you reckon Kez will make the cut for this beeb light entertainment show – or will they have to drop her to make room for His Nigelship ? Can hardly contain myself due to my overwhelming enthusiasm:

    The BBC’s flagship Question Time programme is to be broadcast from Holyrood next month, making it the first UK legislature to host the long-running show.

    The programme will come from the Scottish Parliament’s debating chamber on October 11.

    I know it may sound stupid but can anyone , anyone remind me what exactly is Kezia and tRuthless’s jobs , and who is it that actually pays their wages , do they have a day job

    I am looking ever so forward to independence where WE the Scottish people can INSIST on a proper RECALL LAW where we can rid ourselves of these parasites and install people who want to work for the betterment of Scotland and us Scots

    BTW no one currently or formally from Liebour , Tories , or Lib Dums need apply
