There have been so many good news stories reported here, I thought it might be useful if you had a summary you can pull out whenever you need to put a Unionist straight. So here are the Health ones:
‘NHS across UK has much to learn from Scotland?’ The King’s Fund told us this in 2013!
Record NHS Scotland workforce announced as NHS England struggles with far worse levels
NHS Scotland’s Accident and Emergency Departments continue to outperform
Trust me, I’m a BBC TV Doctor and I can assure you NHS Scotland is much better.
NHS Health Check: Which part of the UK is doing the best?
SNP Government invests £2.5million so that GPs have more time with patients
Extra £6.3m for Scottish Ambulance Service to further strengthen the world’s best A&E service
Great work, John. I always get an uplift coming on here. It makes a change from the incessant attacks on the Scottish NHS from our new Tory MP and ex-MSP, John Lamont, who I was pleased to see taken severely to task in a local paper for his inaccurate criticisms.

Just been having a bit of a spat with Delshad Rashid about this, been working for a medical professor of late, his view mirrors that above, his big fear at the moment is Brexit, he is heavily involved in medical research and is seeing private funding that would normally come to Scotland being invested in research elsewhere, his comment was that top researchers employed here are now looking abroad to follow the research funding, these researchers are not on mega money, many do it for the intellectual stimulation and the satisfaction of having helped make a difference, Scotland and Edinburgh in particular is a centre of excellence in medical research, it is now in decline as we speak, that field is now on the down turn due to Brexit.

Radio Scotland between 1.30 to 2.00pm programme talking about Scotland’s NHS only managed to listen for a few mins during which I heard the presenter say ” We often talk about the problem’s in Scotland’s NHS, but here’s some good news on Vaccinations” that means the BBC coverage running down our NHS must be true.
